Buittle Parish lies to the west of the River Urr, between Dalbeattie and Castle Douglas, and extends from Haugh of Urr in the north to Almorness Point on the Solway Firth in the south.
Buittle Parish Community Council meets on a regular basis to discuss community matters. Reports are submitted by Police, Palnackie Shop, Primary School, Village Hall, the Treasurer and Buittle Quest.
The next Community Council meetings will be held in Palnackie Village Hall as follows:
