Palnackie to White Port

For the longer distance park in the village. To shorten the route, park at the gates to Almorness House (parking for 10 cars). Take the U-road past the school. At the T-junction carry straight on through the gates to Almorness House and to the end of the tarred road. Bear right through two gates onto a forestry track. Keep straight. You will pass through another gate. Keep to the main track down to Horse Isles Bay. This bay facing Kippford is worth the walk. To reach White Port, cross the bay and bear right to a wooden bridge and a track leading across the headland to White Port. This track can be very boggy in wet weather. Return the same way.
