Tornat Wood

Take the U-road out of the village going south up the hill. In 400 yards, pass the Millenium Viewpoint picnic area on the left, with information boards. Head straight on till you reach Tornat Wood signposted on your left. Follow the path round the wood till you emerge onto the Merse opposite Kippford. Keep right, skirt the wood and return to the village following the farm track till you reach the road. Be aware of livestock and farm vehicles.
